There will be times when we must obey instructions from people who don’t follow their own rules. If the instruction itself is right and fair (even if the person delivering it is flawed), we still have a responsibility to do what is right. We are not called to play the victim or broadcast our struggle for sympathy (“Look how hard I have it!”). Instead, we are called to carry the burden with humility.

We see the small part of the iceberg above the water—someone’s actions, words, or mistakes. God sees the massive part below: their heart, their struggles, their motives, their pain, and their potential. We judge people for where they are right now. God sees who they can become by His grace.

Taking up our cross means willingly embracing humility, sacrifice, and even suffering for the sake of Jesus. It means putting to death the ego that demands to be first, the ambitions driven by self-glory, and the constant chase for personal validation.

Protect your marriage with intentional boundaries, just as God sets protective boundaries for us.

The ultimate call is surrender. If we chase self-fulfillment—achieving, accumulating, protecting our ego—we end up empty, missing what truly matters. But when we die to pride, kill our self-centered ambitions, and live for something far bigger—Christ and His kingdom—we discover real life, purpose, and eternal significance.

That's you. That's me. That's every believer God calls. Your past habits, hang-ups, and hard shells? They don't disqualify you. Bring them to the Master Vintner. Let Him clean, oil, and soften those places. Surrender the rigid spots. Say yes to the stretch. Because the same God who pours new wine also makes old skins new again.

Boundaries are not to prohibit, but rather to protect and prosper you where you are.

So, for anyone still on the fence about Jesus: Was the crucifixion a big deal? Was He really raised from the dead? Paul isn't sharing myths here—he's passing on an early creed with evidence.

God doesn't hand us what we've earned (death); instead, He offers what we could never earn on our own—life abundant and forever through Jesus Christ.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to be model citizens—people who pay taxes honestly, respect laws that align with justice, show kindness to neighbors, and live orderly lives. This isn't motivated by fear of consequences alone, but by love for others and respect for God's established order.

By refusing conformity to the world and embracing ongoing mind renewal, we experience true metamorphosis. This leads to clearer discernment of God's will, humble self-view, and genuine harmony with others.

This faith isn't an exclusive country club. Through God's grace, Gentiles are grafted into the existing tree of faith—the olive tree rooted in God's promises to Abraham and Israel.

When that kind of real belief fills your heart, it naturally spills out. You can't keep it inside—you want to tell others. What your heart truly believes, your mouth will speak. The good news about Jesus pushes us to share it.

We tell ourselves, "If I don't handle it, no one will," or "I can't afford to let go." Pride whispers that we're capable enough, while beneath it lies fear: fear of vulnerability, failure, or betrayal. Doubt creeps in too—maybe God won't come through, or His timing doesn't match ours. So we lean on our own understanding

Whew! This is no Hallmark movie—it's more like a Jerry Springer Show with high stakes. Jealousy, bargaining, surrogacy drama, and a whole lot of "keeping score." Yet through every messy moment, God is quietly fulfilling His promise to Abraham: descendants as numerous as the stars (Genesis 15:5; 22:17).

Today, let's pause in those decision points and ask: Am I choosing the stew of the moment, or the lasting inheritance God has for me? May we live differently—prioritizing the eternal over the temporary, integrity over impulse, and God's will above all.

God knows us completely—our hidden motives, our selfish grabs, our deceptions big and small. He formed us in the womb, calls us by name, and claims us as His own. No imperfection, no past failure, no ongoing struggle can thwart His redemptive plan or cancel His promises.

Just as a potsherd is a shattered piece of clay, so are we when broken by life or our own choices. Yet God, the Master Potter, has the power to restore us, reshape us, and make us whole again—into the vessel He originally designed.

So often, when we're in those dark, humiliating, or desolate places—feeling broken, unworthy, or cast aside—that's exactly where God meets us. In the stillness, He invites us to stop striving, stop fighting, stop yelling back at life... and simply listen. Be still. Hear His voice.

God wants our hearts, not just our habits.
